What we’re exploring

Our projects are initiatives we develop and lead independently at Better Leaders Lab. They reflect the questions the team considers most relevant for leadership, strategy, and transformation in the age of AI. We use them to test ideas, build new formats, and generate insights that go beyond client work. Across programs, research, and platforms, we combine experimentation with direct engagement at the executive level, working across Europe and the United States.

Power/Shift Magazine

Power/Shift

Power/Shift is a Better Leaders Lab initiative that questions structural inequities in media leadership and advocates for change. Through invite-only events, gatherings and a magazine, it creates space for honest conversations about who holds power in media organizations, who makes decisions and who does not. The initiative moves beyond awareness to push for concrete structural change, addressing how leadership pipelines, board composition and decision-making can be redesigned for greater equity and long-term resilience.

AI Leadership Journey

AI Leadership Journey

The AI Leadership Journey is a self-paced email-based learning experience developed by Better Leaders Lab to help leaders and managers build practical capability in the age of AI. Delivered as a structured sequence of reflections, frameworks, and prompts, it guides participants through the implications of AI for their own leadership practice. The focus is not on AI as a technical subject but as a leadership and organizational challenge, exploring how it reshapes strategy, culture, decision-making and team design. Hybrid and Remote Work Report

Report: Hybrid and Remote Work

The Hybrid Work Report was a Better Leaders Lab research initiative examining how media organizations adapted to remote and hybrid work after COVID-19 and what that shift means going forward. The research explores implications for organizational structure, leadership practice, and culture, translating findings into concrete guidance for executives navigating ongoing uncertainty. Rather than treating hybrid work as a logistical question, the report frames it as a strategic and leadership challenge with lasting consequences for how media organizations are built and run.
